Cheek reduction surgery or BUCCAL FAT PAD REMOVAL is a procedure for people who would like to reduce their cheeks bulging secondary to the presence of large fat pads which produce a round facial appearance and imbalanced aesthetic proportions.  The size of these fat pads is not related to body weight changes; their structural function is insignificant so their removal does not produce any detrimental anatomical or functional effect.

• It is an ambulatory surgery, done under sedation and local or general anesthesia.
• It lasts 15 – 30 minutes aprox.
• A little incision is made inside the cheek to remove the fat pads.
• Special care is taken to respect nearby structures such as muscles, blood vessels and nerves.

• Work activities can be resumed the following day after the procedure.
